Will Jesus Know You?

Peter continues to encourage us today, reminding us that we will suffer as Jesus believers…we should expect it….but the reward is WORTH IT!  He tells us to keep doing good, no matter what happens in the physical.  Trust God…He has a perfect plan!!

Does your attitude line up with Jesus’s attitude or does it line up with the attitude of the sinful world?  Peter is telling us today to make sure that we are sick and tired of our sinfulness.  Make changes that we need to make to better follow God’s will, even if our friends don’t like.  Allow Jesus to change our attitude to the point that we see the beauty in our suffering for Him!

Today, Peter is reminding us of something very important.  When it looks like satan is winning, we can rest in the FACT that Jesus already won!  When He was resurrected, the victory was complete!  We can and should rest in knowing that the victory has already been secured, and that should help us persevere this life that we sometimes/often don’t understand!

It’s going to be hard for us to understand why God would allow us to suffer, when we are doing good things. But today, Peter tells us that it is a good thing!  Talk about a mind change!  We’ll walk through biblical examples of those who suffered greatly as they accomplished God’s plans!
