Will Jesus Know You?

We start off Season 2 with a popular topic – AI (Artificial Intelligence).  Today, we begin to answer some important questions.  What is AI today? What will it be tomorrow?  As Christians, should we use it?  If so, how much? Is it dangerous or helpful? Today, we end Season 1 as we end the book of 1st Peter.  This is a book of encouragement, and my hope is that we have each been encouraged over the past 40 weeks of processing through this book.  We finish Season 1 with encouragement, and I ask for your prayers for direction for Season 2!

In life, if you were given a bigger sword, it would be harder to use….b/c the bigger it gets, the heavier it gets.  However, it’s the opposite in the kingdom of God.  The bigger our sword gets – which is our knowledge of the Word of God – the lighter and easier it becomes to use it!  Today, we learn to fight off an important lie so that our weapon can get bigger and bigger – lighter and lighter!

Today, we expose our enemy for who and what he really is.  Is he powerful? Is he weak? Do we flee from him, or does he flee from us?  It’s important that we understand who our enemy is if we are going to have success in fighting his lies – while we follow the King of Truth – our King – Jesus!

Peter waits till the very end of his letter before he mentions our enemy, the devil.  It’s important to understand his tactics, his weaknesses, and how we counter attack him.  Today, we will focus on what it means to “stay alert” and what it means to counter attack the devil!  Here’s a hint… Read scripture…read scripture…read scripture….when the enemy attacks, tell him scripture back.

Peter is beginning to wrap up his letter in chapter 5, as he challenges and encourages us to submit to our leaders and elders.  He also tells us about the importance of humility in this process.  When we get this in the right order, we have a promise that God will take away all our worries and anxieties!
